Home Tour

Hi and welcome to our home! While there are only a couple rooms in the house that I’ve specifically blogged about, in order to satisfy your curiosity (isn’t that why you’re here?) I’ve tried to post pictures of some of the other rooms as they’ve appeared on the blog. I’ll be updating this page with more rooms as I get to them. Thanks for visiting!

Entry way:

I took this picture for a post about how I change out my flower arrangements with the seasons. You can read about it here.

Dining Room:

Immediately to the left of the entry way is the dining room. I took this picture at Thanksgiving for a post that never went up. Maybe next year.

This is the room from another angle, this time at Easter.

Standing in the dining room and looking out across the entry way, you can see the music room, named for the baby grand and violins that reside in there. I’ll show you more in that room when I get the book cases straightened up. :)

Great room:

You can see more pictures of the great room at Christmas time here.

This is the little wall that separates the great room from the hearth room and kitchen area. Normally I wouldn’t have shown you this picture because of the cord, but I took the picture for a post on how you can add a new electrical outlet. You can read it here.

Hearth Room:

Moving on into the hearth room, you can read about how I decorated the mantel for Christmas here.

Here’s a small peak at our dining area in the kitchen. You can read about my chandelier overhaul here.

Laundry Room:

Walking through the kitchen takes you into the laundry room. You can read about my epic laundry room makeover here.

Master Bedroom and Bathroom:

Back down the hallway to the right of the great room is the master bedroom. I’m chuckling as I post this picture, because it’s just a tiny peak, and it’s mostly of the ceiling. :) You’ll understand why if you read this post.

And this is one of three upstairs bedrooms. It’s our son’s, and my current project. You can catch up on all the progress here.

Accent Wall at Me and My DIY

This is the Jack part of the Jack and Jill bathroom that he currently shares with his sister. You can read about the reveal here.

I couldn’t leave without showing you a picture of the Bradford Pears in our driveway. This picture was taken in the spring, looking down at the street, away from the house.

I’ll have lots more to show you, but I wanted to leave you with this. Real life. And the reason why I don’t have pictures of all the rooms in our house yet. Well, that and the blog. Make sure you notice the mess on the counters behind me. I think I see a bottle of Rit dye that I was going to use in a post. Bonus points if you can name four other things in the picture that I’ve blogged about. ;)

But you should also notice the German chocolate cake that my dear, sweet husband of almost 22 years made for my birthday this year. From scratch. Like he does every year. Oh, and the various body parts of my children surrounding me.

So while my home isn’t always blog worthy, I can’t complain. I’ve been blessed beyond all measure.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little sneak peak of our home and that you’ll come back again soon.

Thanks for stopping by!
